Red Meadow

6" x 8" Acrylic
I just returned yesterday from 4 days away with my daughter to Anna Maria Island. We had a good time, but the weather didn't cooperate! One sunny, warm day - and the rest, not so much! But we shopped till we dropped - rested, ate, and just thoroughly enjoyed each other's company.
So, today, I decided to play around with acrylic paint. I've never had instruction in this media, but I'm wanting to take a textures class later this month. Thought I would play around and see if I could figure it out. It's a little like watercolor, and a little like oils, and I'm not too sure exactly how to handle it. But, it was fun to try!

You've still maintained your style, Nancy. This is lovely and I like the technique you've used with the stems reaching up into the sky, the sky coming down to meet them.
