(Please understand, it was 95 degrees and muggy today -- that's why we look like a couple of drowned rats! Especially me!)I love this wonderful world of blogging! It's enabled me to find artists from all over the country(and the world) and be able to appreciate all kinds of art! BarbaraJoan is one of those artists that I met online. We live about an hour and a half apart here in Florida, and so we decided to meet in Dade City today. We spent several hours looking in antique shops and having a delightful lunch. We have a lot in common, and shared many laughs. I'm so grateful to have a new friend, and to top it off, she rewarded me with a little painting and a bookmark (below)! Of course, I'm such a loser, I didn't even think to do the same for her. I hope we get to see each other again, soon!

I'm so glad that you two found each other. What a treat because now I've found you! I'm a Floridian, too, but I get to leave the hot and muggy behind for a few months in MN. I'll be back in late September.
