Don't Look Down!

7" x 10" Watercolor
I declared yesterday that I want to paint daily for awhile - but do I have any inspiration? Of course not! I've painted every photo that I've taken. And, I haven't gone anywhere to take more - so I'm limited with what I can paint. This photo came up on an ad on Facebook (I know, I said I would take time off from there, but.....) - and it really intrigued me. So, this is the painting for today!

What is the wall on the left? I'm not quite sure what I am looking at, but I sure love these trees and the overall look of the piece. Makes me feel as though I am walking in the woods after a recent rain and have come upon the surprise of a structure/building on my walking path!

Well, it's supposed to be the side of a mountain. Obviously, I didn't do a good enough job on this one! I think that's proof that you should only paint what YOU actually see!

Hi Nancy, your work is beautiful. I particularly fell in love with this one, sort of abstract, the color composition and the shapes are intriguing.Though you say that you didnt do a good job here, somehow I am not able to accept it because it is looking so lovely!
