Sunflowers

9" x 12" Watercolor

Another flower day at Marilee's class! This time, sunflowers! These were fun to paint - and nice since it was a dreary, rainy day today!

These are lovely, the violet background really makes the yellow flowers POP... how did you manage not to have the colors run together? I so wish I could find a class to attend here.

The only thing about watercolor that really tries me is patience! Waiting till one layer is dry before adding another color next to it is key.

This class is through an art supply store that is about 30 minutes from home, but I go to another one right here in our small town. You might try Googling your town and painting classes. Good luck!
