9" x 12" WatercolorWell, whaddaya know! Now that I'm through with all that crafting stuff, I'm really wanting to paint! I did this yesterday in class. Someone brought in this image (I'm sure we're abusing someone's copywright - I think it was off of a Christmas card) - but, anyway, it was challenging for me to paint. Buildings are not my friends!
I'll be glad when the winter season is over. I really don't like painting dead trees and snow. It's fun for awhile, but then I remember why I moved to Florida -- to escape the dead trees and snow! Time to paint another flower, maybe!

Pretty scene. Nice job. The chickadees add that special something extra to the snow scene. Have to disagree with you on the "dead" trees, however. I find the trees that lie in state during the winter have fascinating graceful shapes and designs revealed while the leaves are absent. God's wonderful underlying drawing and compositions! The more I study them, the more I am amazed at the shapes they develop. So even though I'd probably choose FL to live in if there weren't others in the family to consider, I'm thankful that I've become attuned to this magnificent beauty that God provides for appreciating.
Yes, Ruth, you're right! I probably should have used the term "naked trees"! Even though I don't have to deal with Winter, I've had to miss out on my favorite season, Spring. Oh well...
I'm with you, Florida is the place to be. The only time we get dead trees is when Canada sends us a blast cold enough to freeze things. Thankfully, that doesn't happen very often. I love chickadees, though, and miss their cheerful song.
