I realized that it's been over 2 weeks since I last posted. Boy, how time flies! I haven't been painting much - just painted some more papers and I'm almost ready to start my next flower (this time it's a Bird of Paradise), and hopefully soon, I'll get back in the studio and finish it!
We were in Tallahassee last week for a few days - and when I got back, I had about 25 shows to watch that I recorded! So, there's been a lot of TV watching this weekend! Now, I'm burned out of that, and really want to read and finish the novel I started on the trip. Too many things to do, so little time! I've also been reading a book called "Art & Fear" - "Observations on the Perils (and Rewards) of Artmaking", by David Bayles & Ted Orland. Verrrry Interesting!

Hey , good to see you Nancy, I have been kind of in a slouch myself as far as painting goes.. Watercolor? Nada... Pencil ? Nada..
and the one thing that I was so interested in was the mixed media flowers ,, I tried and my result was less than awful .. I cut too many slivers. I don't really know what I did .. It was supposed to be a Tulip. Very confusing ,, light and dark and dark and light.. wow I give you so much credit for it looking so good. Both the sunflower and the cone flower.
I'm almost ready to open my website.. so look for it on both my blogs... BJ
I'm loving your collaged flowers -- must try this myself! I'm sure it's harder than it looks, but I guess that's where your skill comes through, knowing which bits to put where and when to leave well enough alone.... Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing the next one!
Beautiful papers though, Nancy. I'm with you; too much to do, too little time.
