9" x 12" WatercolorPeonies have always been my favorite flower. Growing up in Kansas, my mom had lots of peony bushes that she transplanted from her home in Iowa. And, when Bill and I lived in Kansas City, I had a lot of peony bushes there. I usually grew the double kind, so I'm not sure how the singles smell! Oh, how I miss the smell of peonies! I painted this beautiful flower from a photo on Wet Canvas.

You found a pretty scene to paint, I looked for awhile but gave up on the Mexico City scene. I also had fun with the snowflake making. I wish I knew how to add cool stuff like that to my blog.

Beautiful paintings, both of them, Nancy. I too like this Mexico City painting a bit better than the first, though can't quite put my finger on why. For some reason, after spending so much time looking for a great place to paint, I have no further interest in painting the place more than once! LOL I think I go into GoogleMaps overload after a point.
